In loving Memory of Donald Eugene Ladouceur
Donald “Don” Eugene Ladouceur, 69, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, formally of The Pas, Manitoba, passed away on 28 November 2020 peacefully in his sleep.
Don was born on 17 November 1951 to Helen and Donet Ladouceur in The Pas, Manitoba. Don attended school in Cranberry Portage, Manitoba.
Don had various jobs throughout his life in which he enjoyed with his last being a contractor owning his own business. “Don’s Handyman Service”.
In 1987, Don met Patricia “Pat” Benson, the love of his life, marrying her while on their dream vacation in 2005; blending their families from previous marriages. Together they have 8 children, Ramona, Amber, Derek, Michelle, James, Vienna, John, and Vanessa. 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, all of them Don loved, cherished, and would do anything for. Roddie Nabess also held a very special place in Don’s heart in which he considered Roddie one of his own.
Don retired November of 2019 due to his health wanting to focus on spending time with Pat, family, and friends. Don enjoyed every moment with them, laughing, joking and telling stories. Don always had a smile on his face and always had something quick witted to say. He had a kind heart and always had a helping hand.
Don’s other love was fishing. He loved fishing and every chance he would get he would spend time on the water with a fishing rod in his hand. Don loved visiting with Pat, family, extended family, and friends playing games, having dinners, and going for coffee.
Don was predeceased by his mother Helen, father Donet, brother Bernie, sister Donna. Don is survived by his sisters Germaine, Corrine, Blanche, brothers Larry, Gubbie, Vincent, Bobby, and Richard.
Don will be sadly missed by the love of his life, Pat, whom has said “someday my man, I will meet you on the other side of the moon where you are waiting for me. I love you, thank you for a real good life. We have created so many good memories together I will cherish them and you forever”.
A celebration of life will be held in The Pas, Manitoba for Don at a later date in 2021.
