Obituary of Donald George McCauley
McCAULEY: Unexpectedly, after recent health issues at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Monday, August 3, 2020, Donald George “Don” McCauley of Grand Bend and formerly of Goderich, age 78. Beloved husband of Dianne Ruth (Dale) McCauley. Loved step-father of Ken Dale and his wife the late Pamela Dale, Sandra and Dave Knapp, Mike and Ruth Ann Dale, Dan and Paoloa Dale. Cherished Grandpa of his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Barrington “Buck” McCauley and Diane Maxwell, nephew Steven McCauley and great nephew Seth McCauley, sisters-in-law Virginia Lovell, Bonnie Johnson and partner Rob Henry. Also remembered by nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Mervin and Dorothy (Bone) McCauley, brother Gerald and his wife Beth McCauley and step-daughter Lorri Anne Bechard. At Don’s request, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date and time to be announced. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. Don was a long time Real Estate agent and residential contractor in the Goderich area. If desired, memorial donations (payable directly to the charity) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
