Donald Andrew Adams was born in Wadena, Saskatchewan on November 2nd 1930 to Etta and Andy Adams. Don passed away peacefully on December 28th, 2020, at the ripe old age of 90, surrounded by his loving children. Don is survived by his children Rosetta Valois of Melfort, Nancy and Bob Schneider of St. Walburg, Don junior and Melanie Adams of Toronto, Laura and Damien Bielesch of Lloydminster, Peggy Lamoureux of Lloydminster and Stewart and Karen Adams of Calgary, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren along with siblings Frank and Marianne Adams of Thunder Bay and Beth Miner of Medicine Hat.
Don grew up in Wadena where he enjoyed numerous activities including archery, hunting, fishing, golfing, hockey, billiards and curling. Don married Marion Hines of Marwayne and enjoyed 40 happy years of marriage until Marion succumbed to cancer in 1998.
Don began his career with Sasktel right out of high school and worked in various locations for 35 years with the last few years back in Wadena as the district manager. Over this time he made many friends across Saskatchewan through work, children’s activities and sportsman endeavors.
In retirement he reconnected with many friends, attending dances, making furniture, visiting family and he continued playing sports well into his 80s. He was well liked by all, quick to smile and laugh, generous with his time, money and attention. He was a good friend, great father, loving grandfather and uncle to many.
Thanks to the staff of Waneeda Park Lodge for the excellent care of our father in his final years.
