The late Dina Mary Murrin (Hall) of Gillams, NL passed away peacefully at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on November 4, 2020, with her loving family by her side. Dina is survived by her husband of 64 years Calvin Murrin; children: Ferlin (Colleen) Murrin, Gillams, Marizona Murrin, Corner Brook and Todd (Cathy) Murrin, Corner Brook; grandson, her first born grandson and the apple of her eye, Chad (Paula) Murrin, Corissa Murrin, Shenna (Dwayne) House, Shannon (Leslie) Murrin and Alex Murrin; great-grandchildren: Nathan (Angel) Blanchard, Alexis House, Mya Murrin and Jack Murrin; great-great-grandchild Chase Murrin; special nieces: Marla (Ronald) Pumphrey, Sienna and Scarlet Travis. Dina is also survived by sister Lena Crocker, Cox’s Cove, her cherished best friend and sister Tillie (Fred) Pynn, Corner Brook, sister Donna (Kevin) Blanchard, McIvers; step-sisters: Phyllis Attwood and Doreen Lewis; step-brothers: Russell (Linda) Wells and Benny (Gloria) Wells; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dina was predeceased by her father Hubert Hall, step-father Benjamin Wells, mother Lillian Wells, parents-in-law William and Alice Murrin, sisters Geraldine and Cindy, infant brother Archie. Dina also leaves behind her camp friends that she met over a forty year span in Birchy Narrows which was her second home, and indeed her happy place. The family would like to thank the Nurses and Doctors in the Intensive Care Unit, for their excellent care and compassion that was shown to our mother in her final days. We would like to extend a big thank you to everyone for the many phone calls, messages of condolences and to all those who sent along food, thank you so very much. In keeping with Dina’s wishes, cremation has taken place, with a celebration of life to be announced at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Cancer Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
