Clarence McCauley 2020

Clarence leaves his wife Marian in their 66th year of marriage, sons Tom (Sandra Cruickshanks), Gordon (Geraldine) and Mark; grandchildren Iain (Krista Schneider), Lauren, Emilie (Michael Grech) and Stuart (Samantha Knight) as well as great-grandchildren Rose and Grace; and sister Maxine Gosnell in addition to many nieces and nephews.
Clarence was a man who lived by the Boy Scout motto “Be Prepared” and the Cub Scout motto “Do Your Best”. He was active in the Scouting movement to the level of Rover and established a life-long group of friends as a result. He was a proud Cub leader for decades and happy that all of his sons joined cubs and scouts.
Woodworking became his passion later in life but he was always a person who was able to fix anything. He repaired typewriters early in his career and retired from Canada Post where he kept the machines running so that we all got our mail. He renovated three of the homes that his family lived in and helped all of his sons with renovations on their homes too. His neat-as-a-pin home workshop is a testament to his love and skill in working with his hands. And you could count on him always driving a clean car.
The family has held a private service with internment at Victoria Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be sent to The Hospice of Windsor and Es County.
