Obituary of Cathy Rheinlander
RHEINLANDER, Catherine Jane
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Catherine Rheinlander with family by her side on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Cathy was in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Edward. Cherished Mother of Kim Rheinlander and her husband John Koczan and Robyn and her husband Steve Hrab (JR). Loving Grandmother of Taylor, Megan and Lucas. Will also be sadly missed by her brother Robert Thompson and his wife Barbara, and brother-in-law Mel Rhinelander and his wife Linda and family. Catherine was a retired employee of Union Gas with over 30 years of service. Special thanks to Dr. Finley and his team for the respect and compassion they provided to Cathy over the last few years. We very much appreciated nurse Sarah who ensured Cathy was cared for with the most dignified person center approach. The last few years have been difficult as Cathy battled her illness. Cathy dealt with her illness directly and continued to smile with grace. As per Cathy’s wishes a cremation has already taken place. Due to COVID restrictions, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Florida by the ocean where she enjoyed annual vacations for over 50 years. Cathy was the love of Edward`s life. She loved her family and friends and always put other’s before herself. She will be missed. Mom – Until we meet again. Looking forward to giving you a hug and seeing your beautiful smile. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences and notes of sympathy may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
