Obituary of Catherine Aucoin
It is with sadness, the family of Catherine Aucoin, wife of the late Arnold Aucoin, announces her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 25, 2020. Born in Saint John on May 24, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Harold Thomas and Minnie (Campbell) Sheehan.
Catherine had several hobbies over the years. She loved to make Barbie doll clothing and knit. She was also outgoing and social. Catherine enjoyed having friends over for a nice home cooked dinner and would also often do their hair. She was selfless and giving and loved being a mother. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment with them. She will be deeply missed.
Catherine is survived by her two daughters: Mary Ann Gates and Carol McQueen; grandchildren: Marissa Gates (Cody Robison) and; great grandchildren: Alayna Robison and Layton Robison; as well as her sister Mary (Terry) Mason and nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Arnold and her parents, Catherine was predeceased by her sisters: Stella Brewing, Ella Reinhart, Theresa Duffy, and Lillian Doucette; brothers: Kenneth Sheehan, Burt Sheehan, Charles Sheehan, Harold Sheehan, Arthur Shannon.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). In keeping with Catherine’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com
