SCHWALM; Bryce Clayton ~ It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Bryce Schwalm announce his passing, at the Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket, Ontario, on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at the age of 71, after a long journey with cancer. While we are heartbroken at his loss, we know Bryce is reunited with his beloved sons, the late Ryan Clayton (2016) and Randy Kenneth (2008), both tragically taken too young, and his parents, the late Clayton William (2004) and Alma Marie (2003). Bryce was a cherished grandpa to Jessica Marie, and adored brother of Sharon Elaine Thomas and Janice Marie Drohan, and brother-in-law John Herbert Thomas. He was a treasured uncle to Carrie (Lance), Christine, Cindy (Roger), great-uncle to Jordan, Breanna, Lindsay, Courtney, Sheridan, and special great-great uncle to Aleah. He will be deeply missed by many cousins and a multitude of friends across the country and in the U.S., and will be fondly remembered as honourary uncle by many with whom he had special ties, including his seven-year-old namesake “Little Bryce” in West Virginia. He was a strong and devoted man with a deeply caring heart and generous loving spirit. Bryce was a respected and proud member of the Brothers of the Blade Motorcycle Club, Whitchurch Chapter. Many of his happiest times were spent riding his motorcycle in the company of his club brothers during their many charitable pursuits. A special thanks to the infinite loyalty, loving friendships and generous support that his club brothers so generously bestowed upon him during their long association and throughout his two year illness. A most special and heartfelt thanks to Steve and Louise Swanton and family, and Doug Philips (“siblings from another mother”) for their boundless love and companionship, vigilant and outstanding care and assistance of every kind throughout Bryce’s difficult struggle with cancer and the last many years of his life. Tremendous thanks also to cherished friends, Anthony and Dora Coler for their time, special love and care when Bryce took ill and was hospitalized in West Virginia. Our family is so deeply grateful to them all. Our family would also like to thank Dr. Harold Yuen and Dr. Cynthia Luk from the Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, for their devoted care to Bryce during his illness and to the amazing nurses and staff at the Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket, for making his last days as caring and comfortable as possible.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Bryce Schwalm 2020..
