Brenda’s Obituary
Benjamin, Brenda Charleen – 72, South Pugwash, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020, at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Springhill she was the daughter of the late Walter and Verna (Sterling) Mitchell. Brenda graduated from Oulton College in Moncton. She worked several different jobs at East Cumberland Lodge before becoming administrator. Brenda enjoyed music and dancing, baking, crafts, knitting and reading. She is survived by her daughters, Candace Ann Benjamin (Joyce), Brudenell, PE; Jennifer April (Chris) Mills, Cornwall, PE; Nancy Jean Benjamin-Stairs, Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Nathanael, Paige, Nicholas, Ben and Noah; brothers, W. Terry (Lil) Mitchell and A. James Mitchell, all of Springhill. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Brian Arthur Benjamin; brothers, William in infancy, Ralph and Glenn Mitchell. Due to covid-19 there will be no public visitation. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at the Palmerston Cemetery, Pugwash. Donations in memory may be made to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mundle’s Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash.
