1940-2020
Beverly Ann (Ford) Brownell, age 80, of Kentville, passed
away very peacefully at home on Monday, September 28, 2020. She was a
daughter of the late Stephen and Eunice (Mullen) Ford (Weaver
Settlement). Beverly was one of 13 children. Beverly loved everyone
she was in contact with and worried about the well-being of
all. She never met a stranger. Her life centered
around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always gave of
herself and never asked for anything in return. She loved
her faith and looked forward to seeing her Savior. She is survived by
her husband of 57 years, Ivan Brownell, Kentville; daughter, Twila
(Larry) Collett, Middleton; grandsons, Dr. Michael (Alina) Thibodeau,
Toronto, Ont., Matthew Collett, Edmonton, Alta.; great-grandchildren,
Hudson, Isla Beverly; sister, Linda; brothers, Dickie Ford and Arthur
“Arkie” Ford; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by
siblings, Helena, Kay, Arlene, Kippy, Sayward, Earl, Buddy and Linny.
There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral mass will be held
at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 in St. Joseph’s
Roman Catholic Church, Kentville, Father Keith Billard
officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross
Cemetery, Kentville. The family would like to express special thanks
to Dr. LaPierre and staff for their care, kindness and compassion
shown to Beverly. Donations in memory may be made to Catholic
Women’s League, Kentville or VON Annapolis Valley. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
