CARRIERE, Bertha (nee Paquette) 1940 – 2020 – Bertha, our mom, was always happiest when surrounded by her family. Throughout the final days of her journey, she was showered with love, hugs and kisses from all of them, at home, as she wished. As the birds sang on July 5th, she passed peacefully to be re-united with the love of her life Aime Carriere. Loving mother of Roger (Isabelle), Joanne Amelotte (Miles), Monique Walker (Brian). Much loved Nanny to Jordan, Alexandra, James Amelotte, Kathleen, Barret, Sydney, Timothy Walker, Trisha Walker, Lisa Vanderpoel and 7 great grandchildren. Survived by her brothers Clayton (Marion), Hubert and sisters Wilda Myers (Dean), Martha MacLean (Donald). Predeceased by her parents Cyril and Veronica Paquette, along with siblings Lawrence (Freda), Ernest, Bernard (Rita), Cyril (Cathy), Nelson and Gertrude Myers (Ford). The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated in St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church on Thursday July 9, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Apple Hill, Ontario. In keeping with the physical distancing requirements, attendance during Mass will be controlled. Face masks are required. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boys and Girls Club (staff@bgcornwallsdg.com). Funeral arrangements entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall.
