Obituary of Bernice Lois Trotter
peacefully at QHC-Belleville General Hospital on Friday, November 20, 2020. Bernice Trotter of Belleville and formerly of Madoc in her 87th year. Daughter of the late Robert and Rachel Hayes. Beloved wife of Bruce Trotter of Belleville and formerly of Frankford and Oshawa. Loving mother of Lynda (Keith) Stein of Trenton, Diane (Raymond) Bailey of Madoc, Jerry West (Nicole) and Allan West (Michelle) both of Belleville. Cherished grandmother of Sara, Adam (Amanda), Jamie (Jenna), Sheila (Drew) and Michael (Samantha). She is predeceased by one granddaughter, Lisa Stein She is also remembered by nine great grandchildren. Bernice is also survived by her brothers, Keith Hayes and Murney (Ruby) Hayes. She is predeceased by her brother Richard Hayes and by her sisters in-law, Viola and Marilyn Hayes. Bernice is fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West (613-968-2273) on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Please register to attend visitation by emailing rsvp@steelefuneralhome.ca or contacting the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be private. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
