Obituary of Audrey Ann MacDougall
Age 85, of Berwick, formerly of Ellershouse, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, June 30, 2020 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on September 5, 1934 in North Range, Digby Co., she was a daughter of the late Benjamin C. and Mary V. (Melanson) MacLeod.
Audrey was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She loved children, needlepoint, sewing, knitting, puzzles, crafts, camping and music. She went on many camping trips with the family and enjoyed the outdoors, especially planting flowers. We never knew where her next road trip was going to be. She was a road runner and loved to explore.
Audrey is survived by daughters, Dallas (John) Moore, Kentville; Valrie (the late George) Morris, Sydney; Laura (Kirk) Newhook, Winnipeg; Cynthia MacDougall-Kerr, New Minas; Susan (Nick) Meyer, Grand Prairie, Alberta; Carolyn (Alexander) Houston, Kentville; son, Stuart (Barb) MacDougall, Berwick; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby (the late Norman) Blanchard, Windsor and Diana (Robert “Bob”) Lavers, Garlands Crossing.
Besides her parents, Audrey was predeceased by sisters, Elva Crossley and Daisy Jean Wells; brothers, Leslie, in infancy; Edward Johnny “Eddy” and Lloyd “Snowball” MacLeod.
We’d like to thank the staff at Grand View Manor in Berwick for the excellent care that they gave Mom while she was there.
