Obituary of Archie McCarrel
Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Maple View on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at the age of 95. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Vi Garniss. Dear father of Derek Garniss Sr. (late Gabriela), Irene Rogers (Don) and the late Bob Garniss (late Marg). Papa Art of five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Predeceased by his father Archie R. McCarrel Sr. and mother Mary (Somes). Survived by his sister Jean Robbins (late Clarence) and predeceased by Annie Wright (late Wilbur), Jack McCarrel (late Beulah) Mary Williams (late Harry) Irene Carter (late Harold), Reta McCarrel and Phyllis Smith (Don). Survived by many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Art’s wishes a private graveside will take place at Sylvan Valley Cemetery. Memorial donations if you wish, to the Echo Bay Elks Lodge 535 Trust Fund, (which Art was a member of), would be appreciated. Thank you to Pathways and Maple View for their care and compassion.
