The family is saddened to announce that Tony passed away in Mississauga on Sunday, April 19, 2020, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s dementia. He will be forever missed by his wife of 53 years Veronica (nee) Vassallo. He was deeply loved by his daughters Lisa Cutter (Mike) and Vicky MacDonald (Gord). Papa will be missed by his grandchildren; Riley, Marisa, Summer and Gabriella. Tony immigrated from Roseto, Italy when he was 13. He had a long a very successful career with Canadian Salt. Tony was happiest when was at home with his family cooking for them. He loved playing cards with his friends and dancing with his wife. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Carm, Cathy, John, Lil and Ed who watched over Tony throughout his illness. A private family service will be held, with a Celebration of Life Service at a later date. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.

  1. Tony was my mentor when I started at Canadian Salt and I was ever grateful for his wisdom and excellence in his workmanship. He was a good friend and someone I could always turn to in difficult times.
