It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Alice Mae Dempsey on October 13, 2020 at Lincourt Manor in St. Stephen, N.B. at the age of 97. Born on July 31,1923 in Marysville, N.B. she was the daughter of Harry and Annie Dunbar(Ferris) Alice will live on in the hearts of her sons, Wayne, John, Daniel(Bonnie) Steven(Brenda) Patrick(Lorna) daughters, Nadine(Brian) McMullin, Judy Reid, Ellen Reid, Mary(Burt) Folkins, daughter in law Connie, her sister Joyce Heins, 25 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Alice was predeceased by her husband Patrick, Sons, David, Kevin, Brian. Brothers, Murray, Harry, Donald. Sisters, Marguerite, Shirley. Granddaughters, Bonnie, Wendi.
Alice will be remembered as a kind person. She was the definition of class. She was a gentle person with a great sense of humor. She was an excellent cook, skills she honed while employed as a cook at Lonicera Hall, Metropolitian Restaurant, Carmen’s Diner and the Wandlyn Inn. She was famous for her baking and the neighborhood children gathered at her house to eat her delicious cookies fresh out of the oven. She loved music and dancing. She spent a lot of Saturday nights dancing at the St. Stephen Legion with her husband and dear friends. She loved Christmas and everything that went with it, the shopping, the music, the decorations, food and especially all the family gathered in her home. That is when she was truly her happiest.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lincourt Manor in St. Stephen for their excellent and loving care of their beloved mother. Your kindness and professionalism will not be forgotten.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
