Violet Freake Sunday December 29th 2019

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we, the family of the late Violet Freake announce her passing at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Sunday, December 29th, 2019 at the age of 94.
She is predeceased by her husband Pearce. She leaves to mourn her 6 children whom she loved dearly. Sharon Freake of Gander, Gary Freake (Karen), Debbie Hodge (Rick), Allan Freake (Marion), Clarence Freake, Michelle Mesh (Greg) all from Appleton, her 6 grandchildren whom she adored and was so proud of Steven (Meagan), Jennifer (Jon), Jake, Jessica, David and Ben, 3 precious great grandchildren Riley, Katie and Rachel and a large extended family and friends.
Violet will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity, her fantastic cooking and hospitality. No one ever left Violets house hungry. She was witty and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved to dance and socialize. Everybody loved “Mrs. Freake”. She will be sadly missed by many people who were truly blessed to have known her.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 1st form 2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Glenwood. Funeral service will take place, January 2nd at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Violets memory may be made to St. Andrews Anglican Church Fund.
