Thomas’ Obituary
NEWELL, Thomas Grant – 82, Newellton, passed away December 5, 2019, in Roseway Hospital, Shelburne. Born October 23, 1937, in Clark’s Harbour, he was a son of the late Grant and Pauline (Penney) Newell. Thomas and his brother, Paul, worked in a family business together until he retired in 2013. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean Marie (Cunningham); sons, Leigh (Esther), Dick (Monica); brother, Paul (Myrna); grandchildren, Tommy, Kristy, Matthew (Sadie); niece, Karla (Dan); nephew, Robbie (Patty); one great nephew; and three great-nieces. There will be a visitation held, Monday, from 7-9 p.m. at the H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. The funeral service will be held, Tuesday, December 10, 2 p.m., at the H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, with Rev Shaun Hatfield officiating. Interment to follow in Newellton Cemetery, Newellton. It has been requested there be family flowers only.
