Bouffard, Shanice Bonnie Yvonne Allisha
A beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Shanice Bonnie Yvonne Allisha left this world unexpectedly, at 20, on December 3, 2019. Born in Toronto, ON on July 19th, 1999 to Shawn Dorsey and Melanie Bouffard, Shanice grew up in Oshawa and Burlington, where she last attended Gary Allan High School.
Shanice was a lover of makeup, fashion and enjoyed listening to music. Her favourite quote was from her father, “Love conquers all.” She was funny, outgoing and vivacious, but she was also introverted and introspective.
We will always remember her for being slow to get ready to leave the house because she needed to put her makeup and false lashes on. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed. When you think of Shanice, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.
Shanice was preceded in death by her father, Shawn Dorsey, Granny, Cora Joyce Fletcher, and Best Friend Rori Hache. She leaves behind her mother Melanie Bouffard, sisters Sierra and Gabriel; grandparents, Melvin & Bonnie (Fletcher) Luke, Grandma, Yvonne Dorsey; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13th from 6-9 pm at Smith’s Funeral Home, located at 1167 Guelph Line in Burlington. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 14th at Smith’s Funeral Home, located at 1167 Guelph Line in Burlington. The ceremony is followed by a reception at Central Arena, located at 519 Drury Lane in Burlington from 2:00-3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in Shanice’s name to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) www.cmha.ca.
