Roger McLaughlin
1937-2019
Roger Joseph McLaughlin of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully
at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on the morning on December 2,
2019.
Roger was born in Limestone Siding, NB, on April 13, 1937. He was the
son of the late Eva McLaughlin and the late Gordon P. Hitchcock. Roger
leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Bessie McLaughlin (Manzer);
his daughter, Beatrice Jordan (Steve) of Zephyrhills, FL; his sons,
Michael McLaughlin (Lisa) of Leduc, AB, Ernest McLaughlin (Lucie) of
Hamilton, ON, Newman McLaughlin of Leduc, AB; nine grandchildren and
ten great grandchildren; his sisters, Hope Manzer (Fred) of St.
Catharines, ON, Madolyn Robinson of Salado, TX, Marlene Guay (Antoine)
of Gatineau, QC, Betty Stewart (Everett) of Miramichi, NB, Jean Guay
(Alphonse) of Grand Falls, NB, Brenda McMenanon (Michael) of
Quispamsis, NB; his brother, Louis Hitchcock (Helene) of Grand Falls,
NB.
Roger was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Barbara Hitchcock;
his brothers, Dennis McNally, Brian Hitchcock, and Vance
Hitchcock.
Roger served five years in the Canadian Army (4th RCHA) and was a
proud legion member since 1955. Roger was a long haul trucker all his
working life and loved his time on the road. He will be always loved
and sadly missed.
Respecting Roger’s wishes, there will be no visitation of funeral
service.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion,
Branch # 36, would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
