DEAL, Philip Arthur, 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Belleville, Ontario on Monday, December 23rd, 2019. He was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia to parents John E. and Dora (Berry) Deal. Phil joined the Royal Canadian Air Force at age 17 and served for 27 years. After retirement, he was a school bus driver in the Belleville area for a number of years. Phil was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. No. 99, Belleville. He was predeceased by his wife Wanna (Burchard) and by his brother John S. Deal (Jackie). Phil is survived by sisters Gwendolyn Taylor and Pauline Whiteway, an aunt Sister Virginia Deal (SC), four nieces and six nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588). Burial will take place at a later date at the National Military Cemetery, Ottawa.
