1956-2019
Paula Ruth McLay of Oak Bay passed away peacefully on Sunday, December
29, 2019 at the Charlotte County Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Paula was the daughter of Ruth (Stuart) Farris and the late Paul
Farris. She was self employed as a hair dresser for many years, and
in her spare time enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She always lived life to its fullest, and enjoyed herself every day.
In addition to her mother of Oak Bay, Paula is survived by her
daughter, Delaney McLay (Zachery Stewart) of Oak Bay; her grandson,
who is expected in April 2020; her sister-in-law, Kathy McLay; nieces
Stephanie McKinney and Sarah Higgins; nephew Jeff McLay; her best
friends Perry Wilson, Kathy Young, Beverley van Hyum, Barb Earle,
Trent Embleton, the Orr’s and many other friends and
acquaintances.
Paula was predeceased by her father, Paul, in 1999.
Please join the family as they celebrate Paula’s life on Friday,
January 3, 2020 from 7-9 pm at Humphrey’s Funeral Home, 20 Marks
Street, St. Stephen, where we will be sharing memories and telling
stories.
For those who wish, remembrances to Charlotte County Cancer Society
