Obituary of Melva Diane Panek
Passed away peacefully, at Hospice Niagara, St. Catharines on Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at the age of 77. Melva leaves behind her husband Al Panek of 54 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Brad (Stacy) and grandson Brody. She is survived by her siblings Pauline Ruber (Richard), and Ross Bush (Susan). She will be missed by her sister-in-law Frances Borsc (the late Mike). She will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews Lorrie McKay (Barry), Lynn Cronin (Kevin), Brenda Huslter (Rory),Cathy Ruber-Klodt (Sean), Jennifer Stevenson (Allan), Steve Bush, and Andrea Borsc (the late Ed). Melvas family would like to extend a thank you to the Doctor’s and Staff of Hospice Niagara, and the Juravinski Cancer Centre for their incredible care and compassion especially Dr. Amanda Marrone. A Visitation will take place at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Sunday, December 29, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 30, at 11:30 a.m. at Fulton Stone United Church, Fulton, Ontario. The burial will take place prior to the service on Monday, December 30, at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Donations to the Hospice Niagara, Juravinksi Cancer Centre, or Fulton Stone United Church would be greatly appreciated and can be made through the funeral home (905) 957-7031 or merritt-fh.com.
