Martha’s Obituary
FRASER (Kennedy), Martha Jean ~ Age 74, of Berwick, formerly of Waterville, Kings Co., passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on December 27, 1944, in Westville, Pictou County, she was a daughter of the late Daniel M.A. and Irene (MacNaughton) Kennedy. Martha was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was well known as an Avon Salesperson and dietary consultant at the Diet Centre in New Minas. Martha was an avid volunteer, Brownie leader and when her daughters were in school was an avid supporter for fundraising at Central Kings Rural High School. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Charles E. “Charlie” Fraser, Berwick; daughters, Belinda Fraser, Truro; Wanda Lacoursiere, New Mexico; Angela Lushman (Daryl Whaley), Greenwood; grandchildren, Blake Lacoursiere, Atlanta, Georgia; Lauren Lacoursiere, New Mexico; Elliott Lushman, Greenwood; brothers, James Kennedy, British Columbia; John Kennedy, Westville; Bill (Colleen) Kennedy, Burton, N.B.; sisters, Ann (David) Cormier, Westville; Colleen (David) Zdan, British Columbia; Cathy (John) White, Coles Island, N.B.; Mary (Elwood) Fraser, Pleasant Valley; many nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no visitation. All are welcome to attend a service in celebration of Martha’s life at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 4, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. Rev. Deacon David Hasler officiating, with a time of fellowship and refreshments following until 4 p.m. Interment in Berwick Cemetery, at a later date.
