Lorraine Davis Monday December 2nd 2019

On Monday Dec 2nd, 2019, Lorraine Davis passed away peacefully at Lion’s Gate Hospital in North Vancouver. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, her 2 children and 5 grandchildren, and her 2 brothers.
Lorraine was born Oct 14th, 1937 in Maidstone, Saskatchewan – the youngest of four children. Highly successful throughout high school, she headed off to school at the University of Alberta and upon graduation became a registered nurse.
Starting her career in Alberta, Lorraine made her first move outside the province to work in Kamloops, BC. Lorraine’s career continued to flourish as she moved to work at hospitals across Europe before returning home to North America to work at St Paul’s Hospital. An opportunity took her to Squamish, where she became the head nurse of the operating ward. This naturally developed into her accepting the position as the managing nurse for Hilltop House in Squamish. Well respected among her colleagues, Lorraine proudly retired in 2002 after a 47-year career.
Lorraine lived in Squamish for over 45 years and developed many long-term friendships with its residents. During her lifetime she had an opportunity to positively impact the lives of many of its residents, visitors and travelers.
Lorraine’s patience, understanding and wisdom will be missed by her husband, Hirkales, and children Jason and Marcie. She was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, Odysseus, Alexa, Athene, Jackson and Marcus.
She will be missed by many and remembered by all.
