Obituary of Jim Young
YOUNG, James “Jim” Arnold – age 65, of Mill Village, passed away peacefully at home on December 24, 2019. Born in Truro, he was the son of Florence (MacPhee) and the late Albert Young.
Jim was a well-liked man with many friends. He was a loving family man who worked hard to look after those he loved. He had a wonderful sense of humour. Jim worked for Dexter as a service truck driver for more than 15 years.
Jim is survived by his mother, Florence; his wife of 45 years, Cynthia; daughter Ellie (Mike) Sack; grandchildren, Keigan, Kateryn, Jessica, Kaden, Kyston, Kaicee, Kane, Kohen; 3 great grandchildren; twin brother, Geordie (Tiny); brother, Barry (Lois); three nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Albert; daughter, Mindy; brother, Ricky.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.
Visitation will take place 5-8 pm, Thursday, January 2, 2020 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. No formal service at this time. Interment will be in the spring.
Donations in Jim’s memory maybe made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
