It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Stephen Critchley announce his passing on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 87 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Nita; children: Evelyn (Terry) Biggin, Delores (David) Kennedy and Rosemary Critchley (John Gaslard); grandchildren: Melissa Mickey, Terrilyn (Tyrone) Hamlyn, Dara (Gerald) O’Keefe, Michael (Megan) Biggin, Crystal Kennedy (Chad Sinnicks) and Darren (Jillian) Kennedy; great-grandchildren: Brianna Kennedy, Keithon Kennedy, Christopher Kennedy, Luke Hamlyn, Grady Mickey, Reese Mickey, Jaxsen O’Keefe, Jake Hamlyn, Zoe Biggin, Ben O’keefe and Casey Biggin; great-great-grandchildren: Oliver Rumbolt-Kennedy and Haven Rumbolt-Kennedy; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his sons: Bevin and Darren, parents William and Catherine, brothers Edwin, John and Cecil, sisters Elizabeth and Agnes, sister-in-law Alice and grandson-in-law Derick Gaslard. Friends may visit St. John the Divine Anglican Church in Port Saunders on Sunday 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 10 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Clare Stewart officiating. Interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery, Sandy Cove.
