Obituary of Iris Elaine Bettle
With sadness, we announce the death of Iris Elaine Bettle (nee Saunders) on December 15th, 2019. Born March 30th, 1924, daughter of the late Bill and Grace (Hawkins) Saunders.
Predeceased by her husband Daryl S. Bettle, sister Doreen, brothers; Howard, Myles, Fred (also known as Norm).
She was the mother of seven children; Barbara Upshon, Robert (Judy), Ronald (Maura), Gary (Sheron), Brian, Rose Martin (Mike), Frederick (Louise). There are 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She has one surviving sister Phyllis, and 2 sister-in-laws Mary Saunders and Lynn Bettle. Born and lived in Quispamsis, she was a founding member of the Quispamsis United Church.
Much thanks and appreciation is given to Extra Mural, Home Care, Dr. Lisa and many others for their care and making it possible for Mom to stay at home.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Thursday from 3- 7 PM. Funeral Service will take place at Quispamsis United Church, 372 Hampton Road, Quispamsis on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 11AM. Interment to take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Quispamsis United Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
