THIBEDEAU, Marie Irene –
Peacefully entered into rest at her home on Sunday, December 22nd, 2019. Irene Thibedeau (nee Muise) of Belleville, born on Morris Island, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia, died at the age of 89. She was the daughter of the late Jeffery & Annie Louise Muise (nee Mouliason) and loving wife for 68 years to Lawrence. Irene was the cherished mother of Carol Lloyd (Keith) of Colborne, Debbie Marcenko (Michael) of Picton, Larry (Kerry) of Roblin, Susan O’Malley (John) of Plainfield and John (Tracy) of Tottenham. She will be sadly missed by her 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Irene is survived by her sister Evelyn Wight (late Edward) of Belleville and her brother Levi Muise (Flora) of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and her good friends and neighbours Jim & Valerie Graham. Irene’s guiding principals were to Live, Love and Laugh, and that she never met a stranger. We all will cherish and miss her warm hugs.
In keeping with Irene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588). A Graveside Service and Rite of Committal with Prayers will take place at Belleville Cemetery Niche Wall in the spring of 2020. If desired, donations in Irene’s memory can be made to the Belleville General Hospital – Oncology Department and would be appreciated by the family.
