Floyd Henry Mingo
April 23, 1936 – December 29, 2019

Mingo, Floyd Henry – Age 83 of Tatamagouche, passed away December 29, 2019 in Willow Lodge Home for Special Care. Born in Tatamagouche, he was the son of the late Lorenzo “Ren” and Stella (Tattrie) Mingo. Floyd worked at many jobs throughout his life from driving trucks, to roofing, to reassembling machinery and vehicles in the salt mine. His ability to fix all things mechanical led him to operate his own small engine repair business in Bible Hill from where he retired. Floyd’s greatest love in life was his wife, Eileen and together they could be seen dancing many a night away. He enjoyed many music parties at home with family and friends where he always joked that all he could play was the radio. Floyd is survived by his sons, Victor (Wanda), Robert and Paul (Wannetta); grandchildren, Lauren, Justen, Amanda and Tanner; great grandson, Jase; sister, Lorraine Stevens. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Eileen Langille; infant daughter, Emily; sister, Frances Grant. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. No visitation by request. A graveside service for both Floyd and Eileen will be held at a later date in Lockerby Memorial Cemetery, Tatamagouche. Memorial donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated. Online condolences can be sent to the family by visiting the funeral home website at: www.mmcfunerals.com
