Fleurette (Lee) Gumbley
Fleurette passed peacefully at Granite Ridge Care in Stittsville, Ontario on December 22, 2019 in her 91st year. Prior to moving to Ottawa, she was long-time resident at La Residence in St. Catharines, Ontario, where she had made dear friends. She is predeceased by her husband Walter, her son Rocky, siblings Rolande and Roger. She is survived by her sister Marielle, daughters Janey and Lydia, sons Michael and Nelson, grandchildren Che, Alberta, Dylan and great granddaughter Coco. Fleurette lived a life helping others, always with a concerned and caring nature. She was an amazing cook, loved to paint acrylics and roller skate. She was a wonderful mom who taught her children to love life, embrace differences and most of all to keep a sense of humour. We would like to thank the staff at Granite Ridge for their wonderful care and the recreational staff for making her last years fun. Fleurette’s life gave joy to many. Let us continue her love here on earth and live life to the fullest. Cremation has taken place. A private internment will take place at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens at a later date.
