Irving, Elva Eunice (Reid) – 76 formerly of Kemptown passed away surrounded by her family on December 22, 2019 at Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Annie (Copp) Reid. Elva worked for many years with the catering staff at the Nova Scotia Teachers College and was a member of the Kemptown United Church. After retirement she enjoyed working on her various crafts and working at the craft shows with her friends. Elva enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (John) Carmichael of Port Williams, sons, Robert (Joan) of North River, Cecil of Onslow and Andrew (Marlene) of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Carrie, Kylia, Royce, Mandy, Aaron, Matthew, Daniel, Justin, and Nathan; great grandchildren, Amari, Kaidan, William and Maverick. Elva also leaves behind her sister, Laura Reid of Truro and brother, Arthur (Shirley) Reid of Centreville. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Raymond of 50 years and brother Norman Reid. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 1 – 3 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. Interment will take place at a later date in Kemptown Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Evergreen Home for Special Care in Kentville for all their excellent care and support for the past 10 years.
