Elsie Horsburgh Thursday December 19th 2019

Elsie King (Horsburgh)
Sunday, September 18, 1938 – Thursday, December 19, 2019
Gentle falling snow, Christmas music and the love of family and friends marked Elsie’s peaceful passing at home after her second battle with cancer. She will be remembered for her strength and kindness and her “no nonsense”, down-to-earth outlook on life. She disliked being fussed over but never hesitated to help others. Her “zest for life” meant her hands and feet were never still. She loved to swim and teach others, and her passion for gardening, knitting, crafts and outdoor pursuits kept her young and active till the end.
God called your name so gently,
That only you could hear.
No one heard the footsteps,
Of the Angel drawing near.
Softly from the shadows,
There came a gentle call,
You closed your eyes and went to sleep
Leaving your love, inside us all.
