Elizabeth Vink, 93, of Mitchell passed away at the Ritz Lutheran Villa on Friday, December 27, 2019.
Beloved wife of the late Theodore Vink (2017). Dear mother of Martin (Mary) Vink, Paula (Peter) Sereda, Doreen (Francis) Hartman, Mary (Stephen) Horenberg, Joanne (Daniel) McPhee, Joseph (Nancy) Vink and Lawrence (Brenda) Vink. Loving grandmother of 38 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Paul (Jo) Veldkamp, Antoon Veldkamp and Ria (Wim) de Groot. Dear sister-in-law of Corrie Vink. Fondly remembered by the Vink Family in Holland, Kees Goes and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Paula Veldkamp, step-mother Arnolda Veldkamp, sisters Dora van Raaij, Gusta Swinkels, Johanna Veldkamp and brothers Gerrit and Leo Veldkamp, brothers-in-law John Vink and Herman (Annie) Schaeken, several in-laws in Holland and granddaughter Christina Vink.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 29 Park Lane, Mitchell on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with Fr. Ben Raze – celebrant. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Vincent de Paul Church Building Fund or the Ritz Lutheran Villa Redevelopment Fund would be appreciated and may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
