Dr. Ronald Melzack
July 19, 1929 – Dec. 22, 2019
Dedicated his life to helping others. He believed “no one should have to feel pain”. As professor at McGill University his research led to ground-breaking developments in the field of pain. He received the Order of Canada, Prix du Quebec and in 2009 was inducted to the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame. Ron is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years Lucy and two children, Lauren and Joel. Predeceased by his sister and two brothers. He led a full and rich life with Lucy who he loved above all else. He will be missed by many. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Thursday, December 26 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at King George Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva strictly private.
