Dianne Nicholson 1949 2019

Obituary of Dianne Nicholson
Dianne, or as she was lovingly known Dee, died peacefully at Freeport Hospital in Kitchener on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at the age of 70.
Dianne is survived by her two daughters, Nicole and Kristi and her grandson, Grant. She was predeceased by her second husband, Alan Nicholson. Dianne was an only child, adopted by her caring parents, Clifford Thomas Alsop and Sophie Edith Alsop, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she was born and raised.
Dianne relocated to Toronto in 1981 and made it her home until only a few years ago when she moved first to Lindsay and then Kitchener, Ontario. This is where she will rest, although those who knew and loved her are across the province and the country.
She will be dearly missed by the many people she guided, counseled and to whom she lent a friendly ear throughout her life. She will be remembered for her tireless efforts to help others, to make this world a better place, particularly for those less fortunate, and for placing those aims above her own.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Dee during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. and the ceremony at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Fireside Room with burial following at Williamsburg Cemetery in Kitchener at 2:00 p.m.
Condolences for the family may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
