SMITH, Delbé – Age 94, of Veterans Place, Yarmouth, formerly of Saulnierville Station, passed away Saturday, Dec 21, 2019 in Veterans Place. Born in Saulnierville Station, he was a son of the late Dereme and Lena (Robichaud) Smith. Delbé was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Canadian Army. He is survived by son, Richard, Concession; daughters, Francine Warner, Cole Harbour; Corinne Arsenault, Church Point; brothers, Gustave (Ruth), Nelson (Rosaline), Edmond (Joanne), Louis; sisters, Marguerite Thibault, Evelina Saulnier, Rose (Charles) Amirault; granddaughters, Stephanie Arsenault, Claire Beck; great granddaughter, Mckenzie Beck. He was predeceased by his wife, Celeste; brothers, Nelson in infancy, Arcade, Leonard, Arthur; sister, Therese. Visitations will be held Friday, December 27, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Meteghan Funeral Home. Funeral Saturday at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, Saulnierville, where a veteran’s service will be held, Rev. Pierre Drouin officiating. Burial will follow in parish cemetery.
