David Douglas Henderson 19562019

David Douglas Henderson
1956-2019
It is with great sadness that the family of David Douglas Henderson of
St. Stephen announce his passing, which occurred on Saturday, December
28, 2019 at his residence. David was born in Ottawa, Ontario, the son
of Douglas F. Henderson and the late Sarah M. (McCabe) Henderson.
David worked for many years as the Custodian at Kirk McColl United
Church. He was a brilliant man, who was able to build and design
almost anything. He enjoyed restoring old Mustangs and other
vehicles, and was an amateur radio operator. As a lover of nature,
David enjoyed vegetable gardening and loved animals, having deer and
wild turkeys in his back yard even though he lived in town.
In addition to his father, David is survived by his siblings, sister
Joanne Henderson, twin brother Donald, and sister Lynda McVay (John),
all of St. Stephen; a nephew, Leigh Stafford; nieces Riannon McVay and
Cassie McVay; an aunt, Mary Lou McLaughlin (Donald) of St. Stephen;
several cousins; and a special friend Linda Hannan of St. Stephen.
David was predeceased by his mother and by several aunts and
uncles.
In keeping with David’s wishes, all services will be held
privately. For those who wish, remembrances to the SPCA or any
charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements by Humphrey’s Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St.
Stephen. Personal condolences and remembrances may be placed at
