It is with great sadness that the family of the late Claude Combden announce his passing on Monday,December 30th,2019 at the Grand Falls Hospital in his 80 th year.
He will be sadly missed by His companion Emily Hewitt. children, Gwendolyn ( Robert ) Wolff, Tiffany ( Lyndon ) Lewis, Cathy ( Frank ) Sollenne and Blake ( Jennifer ). son-in-law Larry Pittman.Eight grandchildren Brandon, Cody, Jenna, Colin, Kelsey ,Emma, Trevor, and Gregory. Two great-grandchildren Tayhlor, and Peighton.. His siblings Mary Gillingham, Olive ( Ken ) Pittman, Rebecca ( Ralph ) Harris, Phyllis ( Cliff ) Lewis, George ( Gertie ) Combden. Extended family Joyce ( Allan ) Gavin, Diane ( Wallace ) Gavin, Janice ( Eric ) Butt, Billy ( Charity ) Hewitt, Darrell Hewitt. 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.He was predeceased by his wife Caroline, their daughter Sheila, parents Titus & Dulcie,brother Ernest, parents-in-law Job & Bessie Gillingham.
Visitation will take place from St. Michaels & All Angels Anglican Church in Pollard’s Point on Thursday, January 2nd,2020, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where also funeral service will take place on Friday, January 3rd,2020, at 2:00 pm, .with The Rev’d Ed King officiating with burial to follow at the family plot.
