Clare Elizabeth Gregory
Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family on December 4, 2019, Mrs. Clare Elizabeth Gregory (nee Brazil) of Spaniard’s Bay, NL, age 90 years.
Predeceased by her loving husband Harry J. Gregory, her son Terry, her daughter Regina, father Matthew Brazil (Corporal) M.M., D.C.M., Croix de Guerre, her mother Agnes (nee Delaney); sisters: Cecilia, Margaret (nee Drover/Brazil), Mary (nee Pennell); brothers: Gerald, and Matthew.
Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life, her loving children: Carol Anne (David) Northcott, Gerard (Dawn), Joseph (Joan), Gabriel (Deborah), Maria (Keith) McCarthy, Lucille (Edward) O’Keefe, Kathryn (Gary) Gillam, Martin, Hank (Karen), Doreen (Phil) Bradbury, Christopher (Daphne), and Dianne; daughter in-law Kathleen Gregory and son in-law Kevin Hurley; 33 cherished grandchildren and 19 precious great grandchildren; brother Michael (Josephine); sisters: Joan (William) Ryan, Eileen (John) Woodford; sisters in-law Marina and Marie; and a large circle of extended family and friends.
Visitation will take place at Lynch’s Funeral Home, Spaniard’s Bay on Thursday, December 5th, 3 – 5 pm, and 7 – 9 pm, Friday, December 6th, 10 – 12 pm, 2 – 5 pm. and 7- 9 pm.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am, December 7, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Hr. Grace. Burial to follow immediately at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Mount Carmel, NL.
Flowers gratefully accepted. Donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
The family expresses sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff at Callingwood Downs and Chancellor Park where Mom was a resident the past ten years.
