Clare Connolly Lunman Wednesday December 25th 2019

Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden St. Site, on December 25, 2019. Clare Connolly Lunman, at the age of 74 years after a 3 1/2-year battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Longstaff and cherished mother of Kimberly Grout (Hugh) and Mark Lunman. Also survived by her step-children, Tammy Broomhead and Jeff Longstaff (Erica) and by her step-grandchildren, Taylor, Emily, Jacob, Ethan, Harmony, Willow, and Sterling. Dear sister of Vera Ulazac, Patricia Gauthier, Ann Dionne, Mike, Hugh, Phillip and Jerry Connolly. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews and by the O’Shaughnessy and Garvey families. Predeceased by her son John Lunman, her sister Dorothy Connolly and by her parents Dorothy “Bee” and Hugh Connolly. A native of Buckingham Quebec, Clare was a retired nurse in Brockville, avid gardener and community volunteer.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service in honour and celebration of Clare’s life at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on January 17 at 1 p.m. followed by a reception. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.
