Obituary of Barb Praill
On the morning of Sunday, December 15, 2019, Barbara Praill passed away at her home in her 79th year.
Born September 3, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Douglas & Marion (nee Patton) Kerr and daughter-in-law of the late Robert & Gertrude (nee Moor) Praill.
Beloved wife of 59 years to Nelson Praill.
Loving mother of Scott & Angie (nee Gardina) Praill, John & Michele (nee Anderson) Praill and Heather Finkbeiner.
Grandma of Christopher, Anthony, Stephanie Praill, Zachary Praill and Mackenzie & Griffin Finkbeiner.
Missed by sister-in-law, Camille Kerr and special brother-in-law, Ken Moor.
Predeceased by her siblings, Louise Spry, John (Brud) Kerr, Margaret Melton and sister-in-law, Linda Mae Munro and brother-in-law, Robert (Bobby) Douglas Praill.
Remembered by several nieces & nephews.
Barb enjoyed her time working many years in retail within Downtown Chatham. She was a long standing member of the ACW Christ Church, the Christ Church Alter Guild and an active member with the Kent Historic Auto Club. She also enjoyed doing crafts, playing & cheating at her marble games, talking with her friends and spending time with her grandkids.
Family to receive friends on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm & 7:00 – 9:00 pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A Funeral Service will take place at Christ Church, 80 Wellington Street, Chatham at 11:00 am on Thursday. Burial to follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
In memory of Barbara, donations may be made to Christ Church Memorial Fund or to a charity of one’s choice.
