Obituary of Audrey Roberta Dykens
Audrey Roberta Dykens, 72 of Debert passed away suddenly on December 6, 2019 in her home. Born in Parrsboro, she is the daughter of Clara (Phinney) and the late Ted Roberts.
Audrey was a strong, amazing woman who extended her hand to all. Her parents, children and grandchildren were fixed figures in her life, with daily visits or phone calls. Whether it was walking the block, sitting at the card table with friends, going for drives or hitting the mall with her sister and mother, she was well loved by her family and in turn, she loved her family and friends dearly.
A daughter, mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt; she is missed dearly and will forever be with us.
Audrey is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Owen Dykens, Debert; mother Clara Roberts, Parrsboro; children Cindy (Tim) Muise, Debert; Mark Benjamin, Moncton, NB; grandchildren Bryson (Mateya) Ross, Jailynn Rehberg, and Ethan Benjamin; siblings Barb Goodwin, Truro; John (Cindy) Roberts, Parrsboro; Lewis (Evelyn) Roberts, Parrsboro; Gene (Barb) Roberts, Parrsboro; Joseph Roberts, Parrsboro; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her father, Audrey was predeceased by her first husband Richard Benjamin and brother Michael Roberts.
There will be no visitation or service, by family request. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
