Anthony Sr. (Tony) Guerrera
1938-2019
Tony Guerrera of Nackawic, NB passed away unexpectedly at his home on
December 27, 2019. Tony was born on December 14, 1938 in Italy, a son
of the late Ferdinando and Catarina (Rinaldi) Guerrera.
Tony and Vicky owned and operated Tony’s Shell in Nackawic for
25 years and Tony was an active member of the Nackawic Lions Club for
close to 35 years. He was an avid shuffleboard player, and enjoyed
bowling and golf. Tinkering around his house and being a helping hand
to all who needed him, was a great passion of his. Tony was an expert
at making homemade wine as well as homemade sausage. His family was
extremely important to him and his great grandchildren held a special
place in his heart.
Tony is survived by his wife of 57 years, Vicky (Gugliotti) Guerrera;
a daughter, Anita Fox (Andy), Nackawic, NB; two sons, Anthony Guerrera
Jr. (Tracie), Connecticut, USA and Fred Guerrera (Lisa),
Massachusetts, USA; five granddaughters, Jennifer Fox, Heather Grant
(Spencer), Nicole Guerrera (Alex), Gabrielle Guerrera and Olivia
Guerrera; two grandsons, Anthony Guerrera III (Jessica) and Corey
Guerrera (Jessica); four great grandchildren, Mya, Eben, Jasper and
Anthony IV; several nieces, nephews and a cousin.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Nick
Guerrera (late Maddalena); a sister, Livia Nuzzolillo (late Domenic)
and an infant sister.
Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB with
visiting on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated at St. Simon and St. Jude Catholic Church,
Nackawic, NB on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 1 pm with Celebrant
Father Jennings. A reception will follow in the church fellowship
hall. Interment will be held at a later date at St. Simon and St.
Jude Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers
will be his great grandchildren.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Tony, the family
has suggested the Louise Breau Memorial Medical Trust Fund, Nackawic
Lions Club or the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation.
