Anna Luczka August 19 1952 December 25 2019

Obituary
Sadly, we must bid farewell to Anna who left us suddenly on Christmas Day. Anna was born in Montreal and raised in Toronto, the daughter of Lidia and Roman Luczka.
Always curious for knowledge, Anna attended Humber College in chemical technology and continued on to York University where she attained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in film and photography. She further went on to acquire a Master of Arts degree from Michigan. She worked at Loblaws and most recently, at the Provincial Government of Ontario in finance until retirement. In recent years, Anna experienced many health concerns which she bore graciously.
Anne was a unique personality and she lived her life to 200%. She was a wonderful cook and a consummate hostess. She enjoyed all genres of music and in her younger years, sang with the Ukrainian choir Vesnivka. She deeply valued her Ukrainian culture and enjoyed all its facets. She admired varied works of art, but she particularly appreciated Ukrainian artists and their work. Anna, herself, wrote Easter eggs: ”pysanky”, and created beautiful icons. Photography was a hobby and she enjoyed literature and was an avid reader. She travelled extensively to all the corners of the earth and had wonderful experiences in foreign lands. There was nothing life had to offer in which Anna did not take an keen interest, both places and people. Anna would never refuse help to anyone and would never turn anyone away. We will miss her smile, her wicked sense of humour and the love which she shared with us all. She will live on in our hearts always and in the beautiful memories she created with us.
Anna was predeceased by her parents and sisters Irene and Julie. She is survived by her remaining sister, Christine, along with a nephew, nieces and cousins in Calgary, AB, London, UK and Ukraine. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by friends near and far and by her beloved Godchildren Marko and Andrij Pyzyk, Edmonton, AB, and Adriana Olijnyk, Toronto, ON.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at the Cardinal Funeral Home – Annette Chapel 92 Annette St. Toronto on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 7-9 pm with Panakhyda at 7.30 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 10 am, also at the funeral home. This will be followed by inurnment at Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Toronto Humane Society.
Adieu, adieu!
May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!
