Anna Bernadette Robicheau

ROBICHEAU, Anna – Age 98, passed away in her home on Monday, December 23rd, 2019. She was born on September 1st, 1921 in Meteghan Station. She undertook many roles in her lifetime such as sales representative, pianist, mother, and grandmother. She loved to keep active and maintain a healthy lifestyle. She could be found walking the sidewalk, going to the gym, and swimming laps till her late 80’s to early 90’s. At other times, she was seen enjoying herself while clogging in the living room with her grandchild. She also loved sewing and gifting her final projects to others. Anyone who visited her at home would find her elbow-deep in flour baking all the while having her glass of cold water nearby to stay hydrated. She was fun-loving and selfless, which contributed to her ability to have profound compassion for others. Even at her most trying times, she would be putting everyone else’s needs before her own. This is how her loved ones will remember her. She is the last out of 14 children in her family to have passed. Her husband, Denis Robicheau, and son, Jackie Robicheau, predeceased her. She is survived by her four daughters: Leah Howell (Ret’d Sgt. Dave), Claudette Scott (Tom), Joan Godbout (Joel), Leonora Duffield (Ret’d Cdr. Richard); son, Eric Robicheau; 10 grandchildren: Victoria, Ron, Kris, Nadine, Renee, Darren, Rachelle, François, Anne, and Brian; 8 great-grandchildren: Jaylin, Acadia, James, Graham, Peyton, Anna, Benjamin and Eva. Cremation has taken place under the care of Meteghan Funeral Home. Funeral will be held Monday, December 30 at 11 a.m. in Stella Maris Church, Meteghan, with Rev. Honoré Kouassi officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The family would like to thank the palliative care team who have helped to keep her comfortable for the past four months.
