Anita Pitre 2019

It is with great sadness the family of Anita Pitre, wife of the late Léo Pitre, of Bathurst announces her passing on Friday, December 27, 2019 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst at the age of 82.
Born in Nicholas-Denys, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Cécile (Boudreau) Vienneau.
She is survived by her children:
David Hachey (Clara Smith), Doris Pitre, Brenda Pitre, Donald (Jeannette Rousselle), Denise Pitre (Omer Glazier), Rodney (Nancy Potter), and Barbara Pitre, all of Bathurst.
Ten grandchildren: Jean-Marc, Denise, Luc, Marc-André, Jessika, Mario, Sylvie, Cynthia, Danika and Chris and twelve great-grandchildren: Miguel, Bryson, Emma, Malex, Zander, Journey, Maddie, Devon, Chloe, Dylan, Christopher and Corey.
Nine sisters: Evangéline Haché,
Angélina Thibeault, Yvette Gauthier, Rose-Marie Pitre and Marie-Jeanne Imhoff all of Bathurst, Marie-Anne Boucher of LaPlante, Claudia Landry and Lise Roy (Jacques) both of Pointe-Verte, and Régina Couture (Armand) of Beresford.
One brother, Robert (Kate) of Miramichi.
Several nieces and nephews.
Anita was known to be a very loving and caring mother to her children and grandchildren. She loved bingo, taking walks, playing cards and a was a big Elvis fan.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two children: Elizabeth and Denis, sisters: Annette, Roberta, Brigitte and a brother Claude.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held Monday, December 30th, 2019 at 11 a.m. from the Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com).
