Obituary of Andrea Rose Wray
Andrea Rose Wray (nee Landry), aged 62 of New Glasgow and formally of Halifax, passed away in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, December 24, 2019 after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Halifax’s North End, on November 30, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Faye (Gerrard) and Alderic Landry of Cape Breton.
Andy was a caring person with a wonderful sense of humor. She retired from the Royal Bank of Canada after more than 20 years of service and made lifelong friends there during her career.
Andy loved life, her family and her dogs. She had a love for all animals, especially her dogs and they always loved her back. She was always in the kitchen cooking up delicious meals. When she wasn’t in the kitchen, she loved to travel and meet new people or spend time in her garden, growing and tending to her plants and flowers.
Andrea is survived by her husband, Ronald “Ron” Wray, daughter Jocelyn (Mathew) and granddaughters, Jayde and Lucy, brothers Eric and Tony Landry (Halifax).
A Celebration of Life reception will take place at Cruikshanks Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax, on Saturday, January 4 at 2pm.
Donations can be made to the QEII Foundation; please help other families with early detection and diagnostic equipment. qe2foundation.ca/donate
