Obituary of Sister Léa Boutin

Samedi, le 23 novembre 2019, S. Léa Boutin fit son entrée à la maison du Père à l’âge de 83 ans. Elle était membre de la Congrégation des Missionnaires Oblates de Saint-Boniface depuis 64 ans.
Léa naquit à Elk Point, AB, le 16 août 1936. Son père, Louis Boutin, était de St-Evariste de Forsyth, QC, et sa mère, Alberta Dubrûle, était de Woburn, QC.
Elle fut précédée dans la mort par ses parents, ses beaux-frères Marcel Fagnan, Robert Glasgow et Alvin Bortnick.
Outre les membres de sa Congrégation religieuse, elle laisse dans le deuil ses soeurs, Noëlla Fagnan, Lucille Glasgow et Yvette Bortnick ainsi que des neveux et nièces.
Visionnement, prière et éloge auront lieu lundi, le 2 décembre 2019 à 13h00 à la chapelle de la Villa Aulneau, 601 rue Aulneau, Winnipeg, MB. La messe de la résurrection sera célébrée à 13 h 30 le même jour au même endroit. L’Abbé Fernand Desjardins présidera la célébration.
L’inhumation des cendres aura lieu au Cimetière St-Boniface de la rue Archibald mercredi, le 4 décembre 2019 à 11 h 00.

Sister Léa Boutin passed away at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface on Saturday, November 23rd, 2019 at the age of 83. She was a member of the religious Congregation of the Missionary Oblate Sisters of St. Boniface for 64 years.
Léa was born in Elk Point, AB, on August 16, 1936. Her father, Louis Boutin, was born in St-Evariste de Forsyth, QC, and her mother, Alberta Dubrûlé, was born in Woburn, Quebec.
She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers-in-law, Marcel Fagnan, Robert Glasgow and Alvin Bortnick.
Besides the members of her religious congregation, Léa leaves to mourn her passing, her sisters, Noëlla Fagnan, Lucille Glasgow and Yvette Bortnick and nephews and nieces.
Viewing, prayer and eulogy will be on Monday, December 2nd, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Villa Aulneau, 601 Aulneau, Winnipeg, MB. Mass of the resurrection will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the same address. Father Fernand Desjardins will preside the celebration.
Inhumation of the ashes will take place on Wednesday, December 4th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Boniface Cemetery on Archibald Street.
The Missionary Oblate Sisters of St. Boniface express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface for their care and compassion.
