Obituary of Pietrina Celestini
CELESTINI, PIETRINA (VESPA) – At the Niagara Health System St. Catharines Site on November 2, 2019 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Antonio Celestini of 54 years. Dear loving mother of Mary (Tony) Bozzola and Lino (Annette) Celestini. Nonna will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Tara (Andi) Weber, Emma and Christopher and great grandson Keanu. Pietrina is predeceased by her parents, Pietro and Lucia Vespa and her brother Domenic. Pietrina was born in S. Stefano de Sessiano, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1954. Pietrina was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by all her relatives and friends. Pietrina enjoyed cooking for her family, especially her grandchildren who enjoyed her gnocchi and meatballs. Relatives and friends will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold, on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. with Vigil Prayers recited at 3:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE HOLY ROSARY CHURCH on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 11:00 A.M., followed by the rite of committal Lakeview Cemetery.
